What is a Fanlisting?

A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person dose not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject."

Why This Rivalry?

Well, considering that this is the main rivalry in the whole anime. They first come to find the Princess Pretear, which happens to be Himeno, when the Princess of Darkness (Takako) becomes loosened from her resting place that they imprisoned her in many years before. So they ask for Himeno's help and after awhile she decides to join them. Many things come out into the open as to how Takako became the Princess of Darkness, and when she finds out, as it states in the story snippet, she just cannot go on. She can no longer Preat with any of the Leafe Knights to become a Pretear. It is because of her insecurity that she will one day become like Takako, since she was also a Pretear in the past as well. They tell Himeno that it was because of her rejected love from Hayate that she became one in the first place. She let hate take over her heart and rule her life. It made her weak for being overcome by darkness. So Himeno must take caution with the people around her in defeating Takako, because she is evil at heart and will do all she can to stop Himeno from stopping her.

Why The Name?

Well, I felt that we all have a little light and dark within us. It is always at a constant battle, such as they were. Himeno was always trying to do her best to defeat the evil Princess of Darkness.. but there were times when Himeno herself was almost at risk of being taken over, as well as the people around her. I see ourselves so close to this battle of good and evil.. as we are all at risk to it every day of our lives. So I felt the name fit perfectly.. as simple as it is.
